We bought one not long ago and did a lot of research on acceptable paints. We turned it into a family activity, painting together and sealing the hive. It took a while for the bees to accept it, but they eventually did. If you have time and patience, it's absolutely worth it. Tip: make sure all parts are facing the right way during assembly.

This is just a post-build review. I bought two hives, both arrived on time with no damage and even included spare parts. The instructions are helpful, but if you're not a puzzle person, ask for help. Pre-drill all screw holes, don’t overtighten, and use low-VOC exterior paint. We spent a weekend sanding off the wax coating—no chemicals needed.

The hive came in two separate packages and was easy to assemble with the help of the online videos. The brood box doesn’t include the starter frames, but there’s plenty of information online to get you going. Delivery was fast and well-packaged.

I hesitated after reading some reviews, but everything went smoothly. My only suggestion is to update the visuals in the instructions. A few screws were a bit too long, but overall the fit was great and the price was much better than similar options.

I’ve built a few mini Flow Hives before, so I didn’t even need to check the instructions, haha! One of the observation windows had a loose screw and some dented wood. The divider board was missing. I contacted the seller, and they’re looking into it. A nail was loose on the bottom board, but I just hammered it back in. Overall, it’s a good purchase. If they fix the divider board issue, I’ll update this review to 5 stars.
